Accountant - Entry Level

Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an entry-level Accountant in New York. This role is in the property management industry where you will be primarily tasked with supporting the team with accounts receivable duties.Responsibilities: Assist in the daily reconciliation of cash that comes into the bank Ensure all applications are correct and updated Review and approve reports, file and post them as required Handle filing for security withdrawals Liaise with vendors for electric usage and inspection reports from operations Obtain required signatures from compliance and enter data into Yardi Utilize Microsoft Excel to manage and organize data Work with various accounts receivable systems such as Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP Oversee billing and cash collection processes Handle commercial collections and account reconciliations. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Proficiency in Account Reconciliation Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) Familiarity with Billing procedures and Cash Applications Experience in Cash Collections and Commercial Collections Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Experience with Oracle financial software tools Familiarity with QuickBooks accounting software Knowledge of SAP financial software applications Experience with various Accounts Receivables systems Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Good verbal and written communication skills Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work efficiently.
