We are seeking a Construction Estimator for schools, government buildings, commercial and residential projects with 10+ years’ experience for evaluating bid specifications and drawings, ensuring that we have all necessary documents required to successfully bid the project. Estimators will also work with the Project Management teams to follow up on bids and budgets for trade buy-outs.
Candidate must have the following skills:
Requirements and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Minimum 10 years of Experience working with commercial and residential buildings
· Experience in working with NYC Public agencies (DDC, SCA, NYCHA, DASNY, Parks Department and others)
· Must be able to utilize AutoCAD/ Plan swift/ or other comparable drafting programs
· Ability to read and analyze plans and specifications in full detail
· Prepare bid packages and meet deadlines
· Prepare and maintain status of plan reproduction
· Maintain spreadsheet to log in competitive subcontractor bids
· Review bid requirements thoroughly
· Develops RFI's, RFP’s, and some scheduling
· Knowledge of MS Office and Adobe software
· Positive, thorough, and proactive communication a must as there will be constant interaction with Clients, architects, and subcontractors.
