Position Overview:
We are seeking a Professional Engineer (PE) to join our team as a Field Construction Inspector (Full time/Part time). The successful candidate will perform on-site construction inspections, ensuring compliance with design drawings, specifications, codes, and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
Conduct field inspections of construction projects to verify compliance with approved plans and specifications.
Review and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and shop drawings.
Prepare detailed field reports documenting inspection findings, deficiencies, and corrective actions.
Coordinate with contractors, architects, and project stakeholders to resolve field issues.
Ensure projects adhere to applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations.
Provide engineering judgment and recommendations during the construction phase.
Qualifications:
Active Professional Engineer (PE) license (required).
Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or related Engineering field.
Minimum 3–5 years of relevant field inspection or construction engineering experience.
Strong knowledge of building codes, materials, and construction methods.
Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
Ability to work independently in the field and manage multiple inspections.
