Teaching Assistant Infant/Toddler

We are looking for an organized, approachable Infant/toddler teacher assistant to join our team. The responsibilities include but may not be limited to: implementing curricula to meet the basic and educational needs of 8 infants and 8 toddlers; tracking and reporting on students' progress, and ensuring that classes remain safe and conducive to learning.

Duties:

- Create age-appropriate activities for both infants and toddlers

- Engage in active play with the children

- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow

- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play and structured activities

- Maintain open and effective communication with parents regarding their child's progress and behavior

- Monitor and manage classroom behavior to ensure a positive learning environment

- Collaborate with other teachers to plan and implement the lesson as well as coordinate special events and activities

- Ensure the safety of all children in the classroom and administer first aid when necessary

Skills:

- Experience in Infant/toddler care in a daycare center setting experience is a must

- Strong behavior management skills to effectively handle challenging behaviors

- Excellent classroom management skills to create an engaging learning environment

- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff members

Requirement

1) Associate's degree in early childhood education or enrollment in an approved school leading to this degree.

2) Prior experience teaching Infants and Toddlers.

3) Physically fit, agile, and able to lift up to 70 pounds.

4) Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.

5) Must complete DOH Fingerprinting through Ident2go, SCR LDSS3370, completed medical form by a Licensed

Physician

6) Provide 3 written signed professional reference letters
