FasTracKids Elementary Teacher job description:
Teacher is responsible for teaching fundamental subjects to children in grades K-5. Teacher should be able to manage classroom, communicate and teach one or more subjects clearly and effectively and follow school procedures. They are responsible for monitoring each student’s progress and providing extra mentorship to those who need it.
Job duties include:
Teaching: Creating and implementing lesson plans to teach subjects like reading, math, science and social studies.
Classroom management: Enforcing classroom rules and overseeing students during activities like lunch and recess
Student progress: Observing and evaluating students' abilities, strengths, and weaknesses, and providing feedback
Communication: Communicating with parents about their child's progress
Student needs: Identifying student needs and working with other staff to help students
Professional development: Participating in professional development activities
Technology: Utilizing technology to enhance learning and teaching
Student records: Maintaining student records, including attendance and grades.
The hours are Tuesday- Thursday from 8:30am - 1:00pm. Any Candidate must be able to work these hours. Additional tutoring hours are available as well during afternoons and on weekends.
