We are seeking for a laundry attendant to work with our establishment. You are responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization in the laundry facility. These responsibilities will include but are not limited to cleaning, drying, folding, and organizing laundry items according to standards. Attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are essential for the position.
Laundry Attendant Responsibilities
1. Sort and separate soiled laundry items based on color, fabric type, and washing instructions.
2. Operate laundry equipment such as washers, dryers, and ironing machines while adhering to safety guidelines and manufacturer instructions.
3. Pre-treat stains on laundry items before washing to ensure thorough cleaning.
4. Load and unload laundry machines, adjusting settings and detergent quantities as necessary.
5. Monitor laundry machines during the washing and drying cycles to ensure proper performance and make adjustments if needed.
6. Remove and fold dried laundry items promptly to prevent wrinkling or damage.
7. Inspect laundered items for quality control, identifying and addressing any issues or damages.
8. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry facility, including wiping down machines, emptying lint traps, and disposing trash.
9. Keep track of inventory levels for laundry supplies and notify supervisors when replenishment is needed.
10. Follow standard procedures for handling and disposing hazardous materials, such as bleach or chemicals.
Laundry Attendant Required Skills
1. Availability for the Morning and Night shift.
2. English and Spanish Proficiency are a plus
3. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure laundry items are properly sorted and processed.
4. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
5. Physical solid stamina and the ability to lift heavy loads, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
6. Knowledge of different fabric types and their appropriate care instructions.
7. Familiarity with laundry equipment operations and maintenance.
8. Basic math skills to accurately measure detergent quantities and calculate load capacities.
9. Good communication skills to work effectively with team members and follow instructions.
10. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaborate in a team environment.
