Help Wanted: front desk, customer service
Location: Windy Farm Garden Center, (established family owned) in Yonkers, New York
Position: customer Service/retail sales - full-time/part-time available
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team at Windy Farm Garden Center!
Responsibilities (include, but not limited to):
Answering and directing incoming telephone calls as needed.
Processing retail sales via cash register, and credit card terminal sales transactions
Performing general office duties including light bookkeeping, filing,data entry, and customer correspondence (which will also include. moving forward , the typing/and sending out of job proposals to potential customers)
General ordering of needed supplies through various suppliers and vendors including indoor plants, stationary, inventory for garden center, etc.
Qualifications:
Previous experience garden center/florist retail atmosphere, with some plant knowledge preferred
Basic knowledge of computers, light bookkeeping, scanning and sending documents
Good communication,( bilingual English/Spanish a plus) and interpersonal skills
Ability to assist customers, handle cash register operations and credit card transactions
Creative design in floral, plants, Holiday wreaths and seasonal items a plus
Drivers license (a plus)
