Role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities essential for the smooth functioning and profitability of the company.
Manage middle level employees such as foremen, maintaining consistent communication both on-site and in the office to coordinate operations, address issues, and ensure that projects are progressing as planned. Responsible for managing and preparing financial statements such as profit and loss sheets, and balance sheets for each job, each general contractor and overall business periods.
Analyzing and forecasting costs and profits to ensure that each project meets its financial targets. This includes pricing out materials among vendors and forecasting labor costs.
Oversee budgeting for projects, ensuring that all expenses are tracked and managed effectively.
Execute the payroll on a weekly basis, ensuring that all employees are paid accurately and on time. Manage expenditure on employees, including salaries, benefits, and other related costs, to maintain financial stability and efficiency.
Continuous process improvement to enhance productivity, quality, and safety across all projects. Work closely with foremen and other team leaders to ensure that all operational aspects of projects are aligned with company objectives and client expectations.
Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic plans that drive growth and operational excellence. This includes research and analysis into breakoff companies such as specialty flooring. Analyze operational data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes. These include areas such as delivery, storage etc.
Ensure that all operations comply with relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies. This includes organizing safety meetings and forms for each job.
Identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies to protect the company's interests and reputation. This includes proofreading and risk management of job contracts and negotiations as well as insurance. Process invoices and ensure timely payment to vendors. Track accounts receivable and ensure prompt collection of outstanding payments. Reconcile bank statements with internal financial records. Investigate and resolve discrepancies.
