Job Summary
We are seeking a positive, detail-oriented and knowledgeable Tax Accountant to join our tax firm. This is an online tax firm that serves high net worth clients in twenty states.
You will be given a task/tax return to complete prior to being offered a job. You will be compensated for your time.
Mainly operates from Sunnyside, Queens and Midtown Manhattan. There is plenty room for growth and learning.
Duties
Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses.
Files tax returns for partnerships, S-corporations, C-corporations and high net worth individuals using Intuit Software - Preconnect
Provide guidance on tax planning strategies to minimize liabilities and maximize benefits.
Collaborate with clients to gather necessary documentation for tax preparation.
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Must be a problem solver and self started requiring minimum supervision
Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
Proven experience in tax preparation services is a must
Familiarity with payroll processing and related regulations is advantageous.
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail in financial report writing.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Proficiency in financial software applications is essential for effective performance in this role.
