Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper / Property Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our residential or commercial properties. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the financial, administrative, and maintenance aspects of the property to ensure a high level of service to our tenants or customers.

Duties:

- Manage the property's budget, ensuring all expenses are accounted for and budgeted accordingly.

- Conduct regular inspections of the property to ensure maintenance and upkeep are being carried out.

- Oversee the maintenance and repair of the property, including scheduling and coordinating work with vendors and contractors.

- Handle all financial matters, including preparing and processing accounts payable and accounts receivable.

- Perform double entry bookkeeping and balance sheet reconciliation to ensure accurate financial records.

- Prepare and manage the property's general ledger, ensuring accurate financial records.

- Manage and process payroll, including timely and accurate payment of employees.

- Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.

- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and property activities.

- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

- Provide excellent customer service and respond to tenant or customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a Property Manager or in a related field.

- Strong knowledge of financial management, including corporate accounting, accounting, and technical accounting.

- Proficiency in using accounting software, such as Xero.

- Experience with payroll and double entry bookkeeping.

- Excellent organizational and time management skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Strong communication and customer service skills.

- Ability to type 10-key accurately.

- Experience with balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger accounting.

- Familiarity with the property management industry and its regulations.
