JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Product Manager is responsible for driving profitable growth of the assigned product line(s) achieved by developing and implementing strategies using market intelligence, emerging technologies and industry feedback to promote an assigned product line(s); and will collaborate with other functions such as sales, technical services, R and D, production and quality to realize established goals. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (COMPETENCIES):
Demonstrate a deep understanding of customer experience and technical trends in key segments; identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth
Lead or facilitate cross-functional development team meetings to define new product requirements and guide new product development projects from concept to development, to beta site evaluation, to detailed product characterization, through local and global scale-up
Develop technology / product roadmaps for the assigned product line(s)
Drive new product launches through pricing, promotion, training and coordination
Represent the company by visiting customers to secure commercial wins, solicit feedback on company products and services; articulate the Voice of Customer (VOC) throughout the organization
Conduct market research to determine market opportunities for a specific product line and to develop competitive knowledge
Provide in-depth technical and commercial training on application technologies and products and solutions to sales and support teams including value propositions and product positioning
Identify and manage relevant marketing communication efforts including, but not limited to, direct mail, print advertising, web development, trade shows, seminars, social media, etc.
Create effective sales tools and collateral for the sales and support teams to use in order to differentiate our products and solutions
Develop and drive the execution of global strategic plans including presentations to senior leadership on how to most effectively grow a specific product line: markets, industries, applications, market sizing, voice of customer, financials, etc.
Actively influence or lead an industry organization
Identify specific target markets and customer leads; communicate and work with sales management to identify, close and monitor sales opportunities
Develop product pricing and positioning strategies and maintain competitive pricing policies in line with business plans by monitoring and managing price metrics
Perform workforce management staffing duties and oversee the workload of staff to ensure accurate and timely completion of assignments
Supervise staff performance, including ensuring appropriate training, assessing competency, conducting performance evaluations, and developing staff
Liaise with sales and operations to resolve production, lead-time, quality and delivery issues
Gather and provide data to facilitate and assist with forecasting
Develop strong partner relationships with equipment partners, leading customers and other stakeholders such that Indium Corporation is engaged in emerging applications at an early stage
Support corporate marketing and sales efforts
Represent marketing and business management in information system development, deployment, training, testing and optimization
Perform other duties or special project as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree, preferred in Engineering, Science, or a technical field; Advanced degree in business or a technical field preferred
Five years progressive experience in related technical fields
Five years sales or marketing experience in a relevant market
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities/tasks effectively and complete prioritized tasks efficiently with high quality
Strong team leader experience
Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and influence others (customers, peers/colleagues)
Experience having launched at least one successful new product or major extension
Demonstrated industry leadership such as influential board membership, paper recognition, or receipt of awards
Demonstrated experience leading significant business growth or profit improvement
Demonstrated ability to lead a major program globally
Strong computer skills; proficient in MS Office
Ability to travel domestically and internationally

The salary range indicated in this posting represents the minimum and maximum of the range for the position. The actual range will vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, prior experience, knowledge, skill and education as they relate to the position’s qualifications, and internal equity.

$90,000 - $155,000 annually
