Location: New Hartford, NY Category: Cedarbrook Assisted Living Posted On: Tue Nov 19 2024 Job Description: POSITION: Housekeeper/ Resident Care Aide - CedarbrookSUPERVISOR: David Wallace, Vice President of Assisted Living ServicesSHIFT: Generally, Tuesday - Saturday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Full-timeRATE: $15.50 - $16.00/hrQUALIFICATIONS:Ability to read and write and follow oral and written directions. Ability to cooperate with other staff members. Ability to use equipment as required for the job. Proficient in English. JOB DUTIES:Receives and follows oral or written work assignment from super-visor on a daily and monthly schedule. Cleans resident and non-resident areas such as resident apartments, public bathrooms, hallways, offices, common areas, etc. in the manner stated in the procedures, so that a high level of cleanliness is maintained in the facility. Reads chemical names, distinguishes appropriate chemical for task and dilution ratio, and handles chemicals in safe manner to protect self, residents and fellow staff members. Maintains SDS sheets on all chemicals utilized. Lifts objects, including water mop buckets and garbage bags, weighing up to 50 lbs. Dusts, sweeps, mops and vacuums floors, washes windows and bed- frames and mattresses, cleans refrigerators including food removal if necessary, and removes garbage. Assists with laundry, as required. Follows safety practices including, but not limited to floor signage, locked closets and properly stored chemicals.Performs duties according to the highest ethical and moral standards and in adherence with the facility's corporate compliance plan and all applicable governing laws. Adheres to the facility's confidentiality statement in accessing and safeguarding protected health information (PHI) of residents and employees, as necessary to perform job duties.Join a Care Team that will value you!
