Accounts Payable Clerk

Description Robert Half has a top-notch opportunity for a long-term contract Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk to join the team at a successful company in the Social Care/Services industry. The Accounts Payable Clerk will resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, process checks, and match, batch, and code invoices. This is a fantastic role, and you will have the opportunity for career growth and advancement within this dynamic department. Located in Newburgh, New York, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term contract opening.What you get to do every single day

Facilitate internal and external audits as needed

Manage validating, recording, and mailing checks and expedite special handling

Support the AP/Finance Department by completing administrative tasks

Carry out additional tasks as assigned

Open, organize, and distribute department mail daily

Organize, register, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents

Manage customer service tasks for internal business partners

Perform daily processes and controls correctly and punctually, ensuring company policies are followed

Perform full-cycle A/P

Requirements - AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds

Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)

Billing experience

Strong familiarity with journal entries

Enter Invoices experience preferred

Prior experience in an A/P role preferred

Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
