Responsible for the functions of the diet office and hospitality services which includes the organization and input of patient/resident menus to ensure accuracy of diet orders, timeliness of meal delivery and facilitates interdepartmental coordination.Status: Per DiemLocation: Newark Wayne Community HospitalDepartment: Food & Nutrition ServicesSchedule: Day/Eve- Rotating weekends and holidaysKey ResponsibilitiesActs as a Liaison between Food Services and all other departments with respect to patient meals and diets.Delivery of meals and nourishments according to established patient identification policies and procedures.Assist with all activities related to meal services.Knowledge of fluid restrictions, tube feeding, diet orders and standards for restricted diets.Ability to transfer medical record information into menu software to ensure diet, allergies and modifiers are processed accurately.Desired AttributesAbility to read, write and communicate effectively in English.Knowledge of food safety and sanitation preferred.The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants.
