Bookkeeper Job Title: Bookkeeper (4-Month Contract)Location: Nanuet, NYJob Description:We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team on a four-month contract basis. This position will support a non-profit client located in Nanuet, NY. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in bookkeeping and a passion for working in the non profit sector.Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
Process accounts payable and receivable.
Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow.
Prepare financial reports and assist with budget preparation.
Support the annual audit process.
Ensure timely and accurate data entry into accounting software.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, preferably in a non-profit setting.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
Experience with FundEz software is a must.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
