Review and incorporate historical data from purchase orders, subcontracts,productivityanalysisreports,etc.intounitandmanhourfigures
Provide and/or coordinate full estimating services on large, complex work and all types of contracts
Reviewproposalspecifications,drawings,attendpre-bidmeetings, etc. to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
Providecompleteconceptual(orbidwork)andfinalestimating input on complex projects
Providetechnicalsupporttopersonnelpreparingdiscipline estimates for assigned bids
Insureallworkingdocumentsanddataaremaintainedtoback-up estimate figures
Assistcontractingdepartmentduringpreparationofinquiriesand final evaluation of submitted bids as required
Track awarded contracts as required - may include estimating/pricingextraworkitems,changeorders,credit;procuring materials, etc.
Performadditional assignments per supervisor’sdirection
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor degree in Engineering, Construction Management or similar from an accredited institution and 5+ years of relevant estimating and project management experience
5 or more years experience estimating for building projects
Previous estimating experience on projects over $100M in value
Hands on experience in public projects, including buildings, infrastructure, and/or commercial construction projects
Experience working with HCSS Heavy Bid, Blue Beam, MS Excel, SmartBid
Thorough knowledge of company procedures, estimating techniques, all engineering disciplines, cost control systems and accounts required
Good communication skills to effectively solicit and work with individual project owner’s representatives, material suppliers and subcontractors in pre-bid estimate preparations and post-bid negotiations
Capable of effectively working within a cohesive Heavy Civil estimating staff to facilitate comprehensive cost proposals and conclude efforts during joint venture team reviews on major projects when applicable
Excellent written and verbal skills
The salary range for Estimator is $87,000 - $168,000 depending on experienceEqual Opportunity Employer
