Job Description
Due to business growth, our Tauranga facility is looking for an experienced Operator on a part time basis.
We are looking for responsible and experienced operator join the team to work a minimum of 30 hours a week.
The Bunker Operator role is to assist with product transfer onto vessels. Tanker Operations involve the discharging of fuel safely. The work involves manual handling and will involve working outside in all weather conditions on a rostered basis.
We need an Operator that will follow all operating procedures thoroughly and safely and will lead by example. You need to be prepared to be flexible, available to work a variety of possible workdays, weekends and available after hours.
Qualifications
If you have the below qualities we are interested to hear from you:
- Experience working within petrochemical industry or in a similar role.
- Proven ability to manage your time and work in a busy environment.
- A reliable and committed team member.
- Demonstrated skill in following operating procedures including strict health and safety requirements.
- Able to maintain accurate written records and use a computer.
- Current drivers licence.
- Good listening and communication skills. along with ability to build relationships with clients.
Additional Information
It will also be an advantage if you have any relevant certificates and qualifications applicable to this industry.
As these roles are considered border workers, applicants successfully appointed will be required to have Covid-19 vaccination.
