Coordinates the flow of patients being admitted to the facility; assesses and intervenes when delays are identified related to admission paperwork, bed turnover and patient transport.
Greets patients and/or visitors to the department in a courteous manner.
Interviews residents/significant others to obtain all relevant demographic and insurance data; obtains necessary signatures on required forms; enters all pre-admission and admission information into department computer system.
Provides interpretation of regulations to residents (i.e., visiting hours, resident services, Bill of Rights, etc.).
Ensures completed charts accompany patients upon admission.
Serves as a liaison between admitting, nursing stations, patient transport, and medical records to facilitate optimal patient flow.
Responds to patient/family complaints as they relate to the admissions and discharge processes.
Analyzes, recommends, implements and monitors approved work-flow changes.
Participates in developing and delivering training related to operations.

Job Qualification
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
1-3 years of relevant experience, required.
