We are seeking a talented and experienced Architect to join a growing architecture department within a leading engineering firm. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of experience across all phases of architectural projects, with a strong portfolio showcasing their expertise in commercial, medical, institutional, and residential projects. This firm has a diverse portfolio and is open to a diverse portfolio as applicable to ongoing projects, and is willing to teach applicants to become familiar with pharmaceutical and medical projects on Long Island!Responsibilities:

Lead and manage architectural projects from conception through completion, ensuring adherence to client requirements, budget constraints, and project timelines.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, and project managers, to develop innovative design solutions.

Conduct site visits, surveys, and assessments to gather relevant data and ensure project feasibility and compliance with local regulations and building codes.

Develop comprehensive architectural plans, drawings, and specifications using AutoCAD.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior architects and interns, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Coordinate with external stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities, to facilitate smooth project execution and resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise.

Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in architecture and design, and incorporate them into project deliverables when appropriate.

Participate in business development activities, including client meetings, proposal preparation, and presentations, to support the growth of the architecture department and the firm as a whole.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.

Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in architectural design, preferably within a diverse range of project types.

Proficiency in AutoCAD, with a knowledge of Revit being a bonus.

Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building systems and New York Codes.

Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate.

Detail-oriented with a passion for design excellence and sustainability.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
