The incumbent will support the Person-Based Electronic Response Data System (PERDS) in which patient data is entered to support the NICS project. This position will be responsible for performing support, maintenance, testing, implementation and deployment of Angular and Java-based data collection systems. The incumbent will maintain and modify existing code, unit testing of software components, collaboration with grant partners, participation in joint application design sessions and documentation of the project and grant reporting activities will be required. This position will participate in the release management process including the technical steps to promote, test and release the application and perform other appropriate related duties as assigned.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a closely related field; OR an Associate's degree in a related field and two years of computer programming, database design/development, or systems analysis; OR four years of such experience.Preferred QualificationsAt least one year of experience developing Java RESTful Web Services using Spring, MyBatis persistence framework and Spring Object Relational Mapping framework. At least one year of experience programming Java applications from specifications expressed by use cases, class diagrams, interaction diagrams and sequence diagrams. At least one year of experience developing relational database schemas, tables, procedures and permissions. At least one year of experience using both SQL and JavaScript, including JavaScript-based frameworks such as Angular. Experience with AWS.Conditions of EmploymentGrant funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required. Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
