We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative Chemical Engineer to join our team in Westbury, New York. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in conducting research, development, and quality control in our industrial manufacturing environment. Your responsibilities will include designing and preparing solutions, compounds, and reagents for analytical testing, as well as developing new products, reverse engineering existing ones, and collaborating with our team to ensure exceptional results. This role requires strong communication skills, a self-starter mentality, and a deep understanding of organic and inorganic chemistry, fluorescent materials, polymerization, and solvents.Responsibilities:
Conduct research and development in an industrial setting, designing and preparing solutions, compounds, and reagents for analytical testing
Develop new products and reverse engineer existing ones to meet customer needs
Perform quality control checks and maintain high-quality standards in our lab
Collaborate with the team to ensure seamless operations and exceptional results
Conduct floor work as needed to support production processes
Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide effective solutions
Requirements:
1-3 years of experience in a lab or industrial setting
Strong understanding of:
General chemistry
Setting up experiments
Common characterization methods
Operation of laboratory equipment (pH meter, automatic titrator)
Excellent communication skills
Team player with a self-starter mentality
Work Environment:Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm.
