Essential Functions Statement(s) · Daily attendance is a requirement of the job, as is arriving on time. Overtime is expected when customer demand dictates the need. · Associate Operator C: Trainee as defined as under instruction until evaluation by a supervisor for proficiency. · Load, operate and unload molding presses to create billets for the CNCs to machine into seals. · Set up molding presses following Standard Work Instructions. · Load oven racks and take billets to ovens for centering. · Associate Operator B: Proficient in manual hydraulic press operation (molder), heat sizing or inspection process. All functions of an AO C plus the following: · Prep work for machining including cutting stock, turning billets to fit work holding fixtures and sizing/rounding sleeves to work order specifications. · Assembly Cell operations: Part cutting, knotching, and threading. · Hand make secondary components and insert them into the seals. · 75% Qualified in at least one job function, at least 50% Qualified in one other. · Associate Operator A:Proficient in 3 of the following 4 processes: manual hydraulic press operation (molder), auto presses, heat sizing/coining process, or inspection. Qualified as AO B plus 1 of 3 options: · Option 1. Knowledge of complex processing procedures · Option 2. Applies formal Lean / Problem Solving techniques · Option 3. 100% Qualified in one job function, at least 75% Qualified in 2 others · Set up and operate manual equipment with little or no assistance. · All Associate Operators are expected to perform the following: · Perform preventive and basic maintenance on required equipment. · Actively participate and support the plant’s safety program. Report any injury or near hit immediately to your Team Lead, Supervisor, or EHS Manager. Report all unsafe conditions immediately to a Team Lead, Supervisor, Value Stream Manager, or EHS Manager. · Actively participate in assigned High-Performance Team. The HPTs are meant to improve the work experience by allowing the employees an opportunity to lead and participate in continuous improvement projects. · Record accurate and timely data, including order completions and quantity on daily labor reports, reclaim tickets for reject parts, and daily hours worked. · Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area. Keep all walkways and aisle free of any debris or clutter. Maintain 5S standards by returning tools to shadow boards. Sweep floor and finishing area as needed. · Other duties as assigned.
