Req Number 132458Job DescriptionWorks collaboratively with senior leadership, to develop and coordinate evaluation and implementation of enterprise and patient facing digital behavioral health interventions. Supports the development of new projects, and initiatives in advancing healthcare with the use of mobile technology, image analysis, machine learning, advanced computation methods, etc.Job Responsibility

Meets and works collaboratively with senior investigators to develop new projects and designs analytical experiments using existing medical data.

Produces new protocols, submissions to IRB, grant applications to federal agencies, foundations, pharmaceutic and biotech companies, as well as other potential funders.

Meets on a regular basis with clinical staff involved in specific projects to train as needed, supervise and trouble-shoot projects.

Develops necessary linkages with IT groups to ensure appropriate data gathering, storage, security, and sharing as appropriate.

Produces manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals and makes presentations at national and international meetings.

Ensures systems support quality, patient safety, and institutional efficiency.

As requested, provides training and supervision to residents, fellows, medical students, and other trainees in the areas of digital medicine, eHealth mobile technologies, etc.

Develops metrics to measure effectiveness of information system implementation.

Operates under general guidance and work assignments are varied and require interpretation and independent decisions on course of action.

Job Qualification

Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.

1-3 years of relevant experience, required.

Highly Preferred

Doctorate degree in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.

Demonstrable publication record with authored/co-authored publications and/or abstracts

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to work in a team environment

Demonstrated ability to develop and implement novel algorithms and software tools for analysis of high-throughput sequencing datasets

Strong SQL skills and experience in working with complex databases and large datasets

Experience with HPC and/or cloud computing resources, such as SLURM, LSF, or AWS, and the ability to optimize computational workflows to run on these resources

Knowledge of cancer genomics data resources such as TCGA, CCLE, and CPTAC, and the ability to mine these resources to inform analyses and develop new methods

Utilize knowledge of cancer data resources to inform analyses and develop new methods for mining these resources

Experience with commonly used data analysis and visualization tools focused on omics data
