Supervisor - Mining (Underground)

Please note we require a minimum of a B grade Tunnel Manager's Certificate of Competence or transferable WA Shift Boss/Supervisor qualification for this position. Macraes' underground operations team is seeking an experienced Supervisor / Shift Boss. This position is primarily responsible for overseeing safe and efficient mining practices inline with the published mining schedules. This role is also responsible for the efficient use of all equipment and safe work processes underground.Key Tasks and ResponsibilitiesSupervise all underground activities.Ensure all development headings are mined to planEnsure all production activities are conducted to planIn conjunction with the Production Engineer, ensure resources are in place to meet mining schedulesEffective use of SIMBIO data system to create a productive 24hr rolling planReview underground mining methods and implement improvements when requiredReview production targets in conjunction with Mining Superintendent to coordinate the implementation of operational improvement plansRetain a clear understanding of the production forecast, work with production engineers to maintain focus on common goalsLead and develop mining personnel to ensure cultural behaviours are inline with company valuesEnsure all incidents are documented in INX and correct process is followed as per company guidelinesInvestigate non-compliances to policies and standards and take action to ensure positive outcomes for the underground mine operations group
