GIS Specialist

Due to increased operational requirements, our Macraes team are on the search for a talented GIS Specialist. Working between both the Macraes mine and the Dunedin office, this role will work to manage geospatial data, create maps, and utilise Geographic Information Systems (GIS) tools to help optimise operations across site. Key Tasks and Responsibilities:Maintain and improve the storage, access and utilisation of geospatial data, ideally using MapInfo Discover software.Create and/or import new and updated data into the GIS system, incorporating data validation processes.Produce maps, plans and cross-sections from the GIS or other software as required.Liaise with other departments and consultants for specific GIS data and plan requests in a timely manner.Documentation of GIS Data layersAssist and train other users of GIS data in the use of MapInfo Discover software (or alternative) where needed. Maintain and develop in-house GIS data.Assist in producing figures for regular and annual technical reporting as required, including NZPAM and WorkSafe.
