Description We are providing an opportunity for a Software Engineer in the Financial Services sector, based in Lynbrook, New York. This role involves developing, testing, and maintaining software systems. The employment type for this role is temporary.Responsibilities: Develop and implement new software programs using languages such as C, ASP.NET and Apache Struts Maintain and improve the performance of existing software Clearly and regularly communicate with management and technical support colleagues Design and update software database using knowledge of Database and Hibernate ORM Test, maintain and recommend software improvements to ensure strong functionality and optimization Independently install, customize and integrate software solutions Facilitate root cause analysis of system issues to minimize impact and future occurrences Work with experienced team members to conduct a root cause analysis of system issues, review new and existing code and/or perform unit testing Identify ideas to improve system performance and impact availability Resolve complex technical design issues. Requirements Proficiency in Apache Struts, C, and ASP.NET Demonstrated experience with Database management Knowledge and experience with EO/IR systems Familiarity with Hibernate ORM and AB Testing techniques Proficiency in Ajax, API Development and CSS Financial services industry experience preferred Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Excellent communication and teamwork skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments Commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest technological advancements in the field.
