Specifically, the SQL Database Developer will:• Support our team as we rebuild and redesign our database.• Support major updates and upgrades to our public-facing website.• Work closely with the Data Portal Team.• Design and implement a new database structure.• Migrate data from the current database.• Rewrite views and stored procedures.• Develop data loading procedures.• Contribute to the bureau's emergency response operations, including supporting the city's COVID mitigation and recovery efforts, with work that may include data integration and management, analysis, and reporting.
Qualifications and Requirements:• A master's degree from an accredited college or university with a specialization in an appropriate field of computer science, public health, or related fields.• Previous experience working in related fields for at least two years• Expertise and extensive experience in relational database design and architecture.• Strong knowledge and experience with MS SQL Server.• Excellent SQL skills including capacity to evaluate and optimize query performance.• Attention to detail.• Strong communications skills and a proven ability to communicate well with team members across levels of expertise.• Ability to understand project needs and propose solutions.• Experience with Azure, front-end web development, Python, or R is a plusVacancy caducado!
