Qualifications:
MUST have a Valid NYS Security Guard License
Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times
Must be reliable dependable and reliable attendance record
Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations
Attention to detail and strong observational skills
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, and holidays.
Ability to stand for long periods of time and walk moderate distances.
Can communicate well with guests.
Thorough knowledge of the layout of the building, function rooms and property.
Ability to stand, walk and/or sit and continuously perform essential job functions for duration of shift with or
without reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) the following:
Patrol the interior and the perimeter of the hotel and the property to observe and identify potential safety risks,
security risks, and undesirable conditions.
Respond to emergencies including, but not limited to, safety hazards, fires, medical emergencies, and threats to life
and/or property.
Promote safe work practices.
Writes reports and ensures accuracy of necessary documentation, as needed.
Handle undesired conduct and potential violations of hotel policy as warranted for the security and safety of hotel
guests, associates, patrons and property
Respond to the scene of guest or employee accidents and determine if emergency aid is required
Notify manager/supervisor, local police, or other appropriate individuals in the event of accidents, or other incidents
Watch for suspicious persons entering, exiting, or loitering around building. Conduct walk through observations of
entire hotel. Promote safe work practices.
Defuse guest or employee disturbances/altercations in accordance with company policies and procedures,
including summoning appropriate authorities if necessary, and documenting incident
Complete incident reports to document all Security related incidents such as theft, accidents, and
fire alarms
Handle business interruptions and complaints, such as suspicious individuals, civil disturbances or demonstrations,
noise complaints, intoxicated individuals, etc
Escort any unwelcome persons (eg, trespassers, loiterers) from the property
Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
