Position Overview
We are seeking a personable, trustworthy, and hard-working Retail Studio & Event Planning Assistant to join our team. This is not a floral design position, but rather a key support role assisting both in the day-to-day operations of our retail studio and with behind-the-scenes event planning. You’ll be a go-to resource for both customers and the owner, playing a vital role in ensuring everything runs smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Welcome and assist walk-in customers in the retail space
Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in person
Support the owner with administrative tasks, scheduling, and event logistics
Maintain studio organization, supplies, and presentation
Help prepare materials for events (signage, timelines, packing lists)
Assist with order processing, deliveries, and pickups when needed
Remain calm, efficient, and helpful during peak times or last-minute changes
Qualifications & Skills
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Professional, dependable, and team-oriented
Ability to multitask and remain organized under pressure
Comfortable working with strong personalities and fast-changing priorities
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Eagerness to learn and grow in a creative, event-driven environment
Able to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours during event and holiday season
Must speak and write fluent English
Bonus (but not required):
Experience in retail, events, hospitality, or administrative roles
Hours & Compensation
Part-time: 25–30 hours per week
Pay: $20–$22 per hour, based on experience
