Concern Housing is seeking Per Diem Counselors to join our growing agency for providing relief coverage for staff at various program/sites. This position allows you to work around your schedule on a temporary/as needed basis while you gain experience and knowledge in the non-profit, social work field. Position: Per Diem Counselor
Location: Riverhead, NY
Schedule: Per Diem: Shifts include weekends 8am - 4pm, 4pm - 12am and overnights, 12am - 8am.
Salary: $17.50/hr.
We are also looking to utilize per diems in order to cover specific weekend shifts on a temporary basis at our Riverhead location. Shifts include weekends 8am - 4pm, 4pm - 12am and overnights, 12am - 8am. Inquire if interested!
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide site or program coverage as needed.
Monitor medications as needed and required.
Responsible for documentation of client contact, collateral contracts and any other relevant information.
Assist clients with household/apartment responsibilities as needed.
Provide transportation in agency vehicles for clients as needed.
Responsible for performing other tasks as needed and assigned by supervisor.
Remain current with all Agency required compliance documents and trainings.
Requirements: Per Diem Counselors are required to have a High School Diploma or equivalent and some experience in a similar setting or education in the field of Psychology, Social Work, Rehabilitation Counseling or related field.
