Maintenance Tech Suffolk County

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for assigned routine upkeep & repair of 8 residential group homes in Suffolk County. You will be able to use an Agency vehicle as you travel to one or two homes each day. Qualified candidates will have experience in all trades (plumbing, electric, sheetrock, doors/windows & troubleshooting HVAC systems). If hired, you will be required to complete a 90 day probation/training period and pass OSHA 30 certifications if not already certified. Experienced Maintenance Technician wanted for a full-time position. Hours are 7am to 3pm. Monday through Friday with some overtime as needed Pay rate is $25 Hourly. Minimum 3 years’ experience. Certification a plus in HVAC, electric, plumbing and carpentry. A valid driver’s license is required and your own vehicle use is mandatory. Three years experience in general maintenance and repair as well as the ability to work independently.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent plus Trade Certifications (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) preferred

Ability to troubleshoot/repair basic plumbing and electrical issues

Overall knowledge and ability to utilize basic hand tools a must

Three years’ experience in Residential maintenance and repair required

Strongappliance diagnostics/repair background

Valid driver’s licenserequired.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Ensure assigned homes meet agency standards for safety. Location: Suffolk County.

Complete all work assignments in an efficient manner.

Must have ability to perform snow removal and landscaping tasks as needed and assigned, including providing on-call support during storms or other emergencies.

Correct any identified maintenance needs.

Purchase and store necessary equipment and supplies.

Submit receipts of all purchases made on a weekly basis.

Establish systems to ensure for ongoing routine maintenance.

Scheduling flexibility as needed.

Attendance at weekly scheduled maintenance meetings.

Drive agency vans and demonstrate safe driving practices.
