We’re in search of a full-time Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. In this newly created role, your focus will be to spearhead ISO 9001: 2015 implementation and manage continuous maintenance of our Quality Management System (QMS). Ideal candidates will have demonstrated knowledge and success at managing an ISO 9001 system in its entirety including, training internal staff, documentation review for accuracy and completeness, conducting internal audits, writing Corrective Action Reports (CARs), and all other tasks related to ensuring ISO compliance. This role will also have oversight of all other QA compliance documentation required to meet UL, ETL, DOT, and C-TPAT standards.

This role is required onsite full-time at our location in Hauppauge, NY.

Responsibilities:

-Implement and maintain all QMS processes and document control to ensure compliance of ISO 9001

-Collaborate with internal departments to develop and implement quality and compliance initiatives

-Proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement by evaluating trends and analysis of performance standards

-Prepare and present reports on quality performance to senior management

-Advise on new regulations in prospective new product domains, ensuring our readiness for future growth and expansion

-Train and coach employees on quality assurance goals and compliance best practices

-Lead all regulatory, third party and customer audits and inspections, and document corrective action processes in accordance with ISO requirements

-Other ISO and compliance responsibilities as business needs require

Requirements:

-Minimum of 2 years of experience as a quality or compliance professional

-Experience as an ISO Management Representative; worked with senior management to achieve ISO 9001 certification preferred

-Bachelor's degree in business, quality assurance, manufacturing, or related field of study preferred

-Demonstrated continuous success at implementing and maintaining QMS companywide

-Strong ability to exercise sound judgement and discretion

-Outstanding at working both independently and in a team setting

-Influential and effective at implementing continuous process improvement initiatives across the organization

-Outstanding knowledge in project management, planning, and execution

-Excellent presentation, listening, and communication skills

-Superior organizational and time-management skills

-Proficiency with MS Office 365 (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

-Experience working with engineering and manufacturing teams a plus

-Experience with SQL, FileMaker, or other database management systems a plus

The base salary range for this position is $55,000 - $65,000.
