About the company: Ciuffo Cabinetry is a family-owned custom woodworking firm specializing in the design and manufacturing of custom kitchens, baths, closets and all other residential millwork. The Company works with premier builders, architects, and designers to help create some of the most beautiful homes across Long Island, the Tri-State area, Florida and beyond.

Ciuffo Cabinetry is currently hiring a Project Estimator to produce, track, and manage job estimates for the company. This role requires a proactive individual with meticulous attention to detail, excellent accounting skills, and the ability to meet strict deadlines. We are looking for an individual who plans to stay and grow with our company; this is a long-term position.

Duties and Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited to the Following

Work directly with the Owner, Executive Team, and Head Estimator.

Interact through email and phone daily with clients, Architects, Builders, and Designers and partners/vendors.

Learn all aspects of Crows Nest and other pricing software programs to price and bid all projects.

Learn and apply pricing procedures and methods to project estimates.

Read, analyze, and interpret blueprint drawings/specifications.

Calculate plan or field measurements and accurate quantity takeoffs for bid proposals.

Produce and submit accurate, detailed bid proposals within required deadlines.

Transcribe estimates to a formal contract for jobs acquired.

Organize and maintain databases of estimates for all jobs.

Track and record job costs up to project completion.

Price and create change orders for existing jobs that require updates/changes.

Create invoices.

Other responsibilities may include creating POs, updating pricing models and other administrative tasks.

Qualifications/Requirements

Minimum 2-5 years of proven working experience estimating residential millwork (kitchens, vanities, etc.) a must.

Strong computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, etc.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.

Experience in drafting/design strongly preferred.

Ability to take ownership of pricing jobs through to completion.

Ability to multitask and prioritize.

Proactive and responsive with strong problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

The ability to meet tight deadlines under pressure.

Experience with Crows Nest software a plus.

Bachelor’s Degree (BA) in Construction Management, Architecture, or related field a plus.
