POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Service Technician is responsible for repairing and maintaining complex CNC machinery and mechanical / electrical equipment for manufacturing of medical and firearm components. He ensures maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Trouble shoot issues & Perform all repair, modifications, adjustments, and preventive/predictive and routine maintenance on production equipment- CNC machines (i.e. Tornos Deco2000 and Mori Seiki NTX1000)
Troubleshoot issues and repair failures of production equipment.
Electrical Repairs and / or replacement of control devices, including circuit boards and memory devices
Assist Operation with analyzing deviations and definition of machine related corrective actions.
Initiate repairs and modifications as a function of Continuous Improvement and process stability (e.g. 5S and Preventive Maintenance).
Control spare parts inventory stock
Support all aspects of building maintenance/routine shop preventive maintenance as needed.
Monitor and maintain environmental, health and safety equipment and systems for both production and non-production equipment as directed.
Knowledge of Fanuc controls is required.
REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED required.
Associates degree in Industrial Maintenance or similar 2 year technical degree in a related field preferred not required.
4+ years field knowledge as a multi-craft technician in the following fields: CNC Repair, Mechanics, Industrial Electrical systems, Electronics, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, and PLC.
Strong preventive maintenance background.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents and drawings (e.g. blue prints, manuals, wiring diagrams etc.)
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and interpret bar graphs.
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift 50lbs.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Ability to work independently in a fast paced deadline orientated environment.
Must be able to work in a team environment.
