Seeking a Full-time Warehouse Team Member for a temporary (4-6 month ) position.
Monday through Friday. Typical hours are 8 am-4 pm. We do require a willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
The Warehouse Team Member is responsible for performing various tasks within a warehouse environment. This role involves receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping items while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Key Responsibilities:
Receiving: Receive incoming customer items, verify orders against accompanying documents, and inspect boxes for damages or defects—record and report discrepancies as necessary.
Storage: Properly store received boxes in designated warehouse locations. Organize inventory to maximize space and ensure easy access for retrieval.
Picking: Fulfill orders by accurately picking items from inventory according to order specifications. Utilize picking lists or electronic systems/barcode scanners to locate and retrieve orders.
Packing: Prepare orders for delivery, label packages with appropriate delivery information, and ensure order accuracy.
Delivery: Verify orders and load boxes/ customer items onto vehicles according to delivery/route location.
Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, including sweeping floors, removing debris, and organizing storage racks and shelves. Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations at all times.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with team members and other departments to ensure smooth operations and timely order fulfillment. Communicate effectively to resolve any issues or challenges that may arise.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior experience in a warehouse or distribution center is preferred.
Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (50 pounds), stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
Familiarity with warehouse operations and procedures, including receiving, picking, packing, and delivery.
Basic computer skills and attention to detail for accurate inventory management.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
