Friar's Head has an immediate opening for a Maintenance/Custodian/Porter. This position is year round, from April-November as maintenance, and November-April as part of our off season crew in maintaining the buildings through light construction work onsite at the club.
Essential Duties
Assist Maintenance Supervisor in daily operating duties to help keep the club in proper working order while constantly looking for areas of improvement and efficiency.
Perform preventative maintenance throughout the buildings.
Help ensure the daily cleanliness and functionality of the club including trash collection and light bulb replacement.
Troubleshoot clubhouse/facility issues and work collaboratively with the supervisor or other staff members to resolve immediate operational and/or safety concerns.
Assist in event setup.
Perform light plumbing duties to keep the systems operational and in proper working order.
Complete requests in a timely manner with a positive attitude.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Job Requirements/Qualifications
High School diploma or GED required.
Post-secondary vocational/ technical training in electrical engineering, or HVAC desirable.
Previous maintenance experience in an institutional or business setting desirable.
Must have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
Reliable and prompt.
Able to meet and perform the physical requirements and to work effectively in an environment which is typical of this position.
Attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and stay on task to complete assignments.
Must be able to communicate in English (Spanish a plus).
