Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanic Shop Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing routine maintenance on a variety of vehicles. You’ll work closely with other technicians and service advisors to ensure all repairs are completed efficiently and to the highest standard of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on vehicles including brakes, engines, transmissions, suspension, heating/AC, electrical systems, etc.
Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid flushes, and tune-ups.
Accurately document all work performed, including parts used and time spent.
Communicate effectively with team members and service advisors regarding vehicle status and repair needs.
Use diagnostic tools and service manuals to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
Keep work area clean and organized; follow safety procedures and company policies.
Maintain certifications and stay up to date with industry standards and training.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school training a plus.
2+ years of experience as an automotive technician preferred.
ASE certification(s) a plus, or willingness to obtain.
Strong knowledge of automotive systems and repair techniques.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Must have own tools or willingness to acquire them.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Standing for long periods; bending, crouching, and working in tight spaces.
Use of hand tools and power equipment.
