We are a local, trusted, long-standing provider of essential life-saving equipment for first responders, firefighters, industrial workers, and emergency personnel. We are seeking a Full Time, experienced SCBA and compressor Repair Technician to inspect, maintain, and repair Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) and breathing air compressors. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the quality and safety of our equipment to meet both industry and regulatory standards while enabling reliable and safe operation for emergency response teams. Although experience is preferred, we are willing to train the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform thorough inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on SCBA units in the shop and in the field.
Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on breathing air compressors, air cylinders, face masks, regulators, harnesses, and other components, including filtration systems, air tanks, valves, and controls.
Calibrate and perform air quality tests to ensure compliance with industry standards and performance requirements.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance, repairs, and service history for compliance.
Stay up to date on technical manuals and repair protocols from the manufacturer.
Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues related to compressor operation.
Work independently and collaborate with team members to maintain a clean, organized, safe, and efficient work environment
Preferred Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Technical certification or training in SCBA equipment repair preferred
Experience and knowledge in SCBA systems or life-safety equipment maintenance and repair a plus
Familiarity with regulatory standards, including NFPA, OSHA, and manufacturer guidelines
Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail and commitment to safety
Fluency in English is required for this position
Valid Driver’s License
Fluent in Microsoft Word and Excel
