Job Description
The Maintenance Technician, under the direction of the Superintendent, is responsible for performing ongoing facility maintenance and completing repairs on equipment. Their duties include fixing machinery, plumbing, HVAC and wiring, inspecting buildings to confirm safety standards.
Responsibilities
Completing minor repair work, which includes repairing doors, locks, door frames and handles as well as replacing light bulbs, sockets, switches, and window glass. Performing basic plumbing tasks, which includes unclogging drains as well as fixing leaking faucets and toilets.
Essential Job Functions:
Follow the direction of the Superintendent
Provide exceptional customer service to our residents
Perform maintenance activities
Apartment make-ready process
Complete service requests including appliances, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, etc.
Ensure proper documentation of service requests, preventative maintenance, and make-ready status in property management software
Assist with grounds keeping, distribution of notices, and other tasks as needed
Requirements
3 years of Multi-Family Property maintenance experience
Availability to work a flexible schedule, including rotating on- call responsibility for weekends and after-hours emergencies.
Salary $23 per hour
