Our client, a facility that cares for mentally and physically handicapped children and adults is searching for Registered Nurses to join their team.
Responsibilities:
- Serves as medical liaison for IDT team, ensuring proper medical follow up.
- Preforms telephone triage.
- Assesses injuries/accidents to ensure individuals receive proper medical care.
- Implements written plan for each person. Modifies nursing plan as necessary.
- Maintains medical records for each individual including comprehensive physical examination, immunizations & diets.
- Ensure proper medical follow-up through on call system.
- Ensures all medications are administered and stored as necessary
- Attends monthly nurses meeting
- Completes appropriate incident reporting paperwork required.
- Ensures compliance with OPWDD regulatory standards.
- Liaison with family members regarding medical issues.
- Preparation of monthly medications administration records.
- Preforms AMAP observation & pouring's.
- Educates DSP staff regarding Plans of Nursing Services
