Line Cook
Local full service hotel looking for a line cook for all shifts. Hotel Food & Beverage outlets include a full service bar and restaurant, Concierge Lounge and room service.
Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years line cook experience, hotel kitchen experience a plus. Candidates should also have Serve Safe certification, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, be able to multitask and work in a team oriented environment.
Job Responsibilities include but not limited to:
prepare food following hotel standards and recipes while consistently maintaining high quality and great presentation
Prep food items and mise en place for the line using knowledge of expected demands
Be aware of and maintain freshness dates and temperature standards
Communicate with Executive Chef and Sous Chef on any out of stock or low stock items
Operate, maintain and properly clean all kitchen equipment and cooking tools, reporting to Chef or Sous Chef any safety hazards or damaged equipment.
Properly cover, date and return any unused product to the corresponding storage areas.
Maintain a safe work environment and follow all MSDA and OSHA standards.
Be mindful of and perform in such a way to help manage food cost/waste, reporting to Chef or Sous Chef any issues.
Clean up throughout shift and thoroughly at end of shift, assuring the line is left in a clean and operational manner for the following shift.
Full and part time positions available. Flexible schedule required, Must be able to work nights and/or weekends.
