What is required:
The Host is the first and last point of contact with the guest and is responsible for greeting, seating and saying goodbye to all guests as well as maintaining the flow of the restaurant during service. Must be naturally kind & gracious, able to work as a team, and have a deep love of hospitality. Applicants should have at least 1 year of experience in fine dining, fast paced restaurant environments.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Orchestrate strategic seating plans
Welcoming and seating guests accurately and professionally
Understand tables configuration and optimization
Managing coat check in a clean and organized fashion
Identify guests in relations to their needs, regularity, and time of dining, food and drink choice, seat preference etc.
Identify all regulars and VIP customers
Review all names in reservations and ensure special occasions (birthday, anniversary, etc.) are acknowledged and the allergies are flagged
Communicate with the manager continuously to update the table status
Provide engaged, friendly, and attentive customer service to all guests inclusive of eye contact, respectable conversation and smiling
Performs other related activities as assigned by Management
Assist in various duties as needed
Always exude and instill exemplary hospitality standards
Maintaining a professional appearance
