Professor Pedals, the leader in bicycle riding education since 2013, is seeking seasonal Trainer(s) on Long Island in Suffolk and Nassau Counties, and in Westchester County in our very active areas.
We are seeking highly motivated individuals to teach basic bicycle riding skills to non-riders.
Education background is not required but a plus.
Job functions include:
working afternoons, evenings and weekends by appointment
traveling locally in market area to homes/sites to teach students
housing up to 4 bicycles and transporting needed equipment on/in own vehicle (rack provided)
communicating with parents and students in a positive way
working outdoors in an environment where active movement is required
Pay range per lesson : $60-$80
Travel/fuel stipend allowed under certain circumstances.
All training provided. No costs or fees.
All materials provided including bicycles, gear, uniform (logo shirt/hat) and operational tools.
Qualified candidates should maintain an interest in educating children and adults in the skills of bicycle riding and have the physical skills to do so with a positive and patient approach. While training will be provided, ideal candidates must maintain an interest and basic knowledge in bicycle riding.
This position is very rewarding with direct training with senior staff of Professor Pedals.
