Be a Hero in the Community at our new COVID-19 Respite Center - Bethpage, NY
(helping up to 42 non-acute patients)
This is your chance to give back to the community by performing temporary work at our newly created RESPITE CENTER in Bethpage. We have full personal protective equipment for you to assist non-acute adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities who are ill and trying to recuperate at our facility. We offer Paid training! And WE OFFER DOUBLE TIME PAY, PLUS GENEROUS PER SHIFT INCENTIVES ($250 per shift!)
As you care for our patients, you will:
Help residents achieve their goals
Provide structure and emotional support
Assist in resolving behavioral issues
Help individuals with personal hygiene
Complete detailed, accurate documentation
We require:
Clean, valid NYS Driver’s license
High School diploma or equivalent
Some experience working with the intellectually and developmentally disabled population preferred; but will train. Cooking and light housekeeping may be required. Must obtain and maintain AMAP (within six months of hire) and SCIP certifications.
