We are seeking a Junior Accountant that will maintain, prepare, and reconcile accounts and other financial documents. This position will require you to have a broad understanding of basic accounting principles and excellent communication skills.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets.
- Process invoices, payments, and expense reports in a timely manner.
- Resolve accounts payable/receivable issues or queries.
- Perform daily reconciliations of cash, check and credit card transactions.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Handle general ledger entries and journal entries.
- Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation.
- Prepare and file tax returns (income tax, sales tax, etc.).
- Assist in analyzing financial data and providing insights to management.
- Manage expense management process, support payroll
- Enter and maintain financial transactions in QuickBooks, including invoices, payments, and expenses.
- Coordinate with other departments to gather financial information and resolve discrepancies.
- Stay up-to-date with accounting regulations and best practices.
- Support CFO and senior leadership team as needed.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2+ years’ experience in a similar Accounting role.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Quickbooks accounting software.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
This position offers a base pay of $30.00 hourly, plus a comprehensive benefits package including:
