Physical Therapist

The Le Roy Central School District is seeking a 1.0 FTE Physical Therapist to lead the process in the development, implementation, and coordination of the physical therapy program through the Special Education Department. Functioning as a member of the educational team, the physical therapist evaluates the degree of function and disability of students unless contra-indicated by the therapist's professional judgment or a doctor's note; performs physical therapy procedures upon the written prescription or referral from a physician; participates with other faculty/staff in the formulation of a student's total care plan; participates in the selection of personnel in the physical therapy service, assigns their duties and provides supervision; develops or assists in the development of physical therapy policies and procedures; records on all student's charts all physical therapy evaluations, re-evaluations, progress notes and consultation summaries; maintains program records, including but not limited to the statistical reports of the frequency and types of treatment and number of students treated.The above examples of duties are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work performed.
