Mechanical Engineering Technician (Latham, NY)We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our prototype lab team. The successful candidate will work on the development, testing, and troubleshooting of cryogenic systems and superconducting magnets. This role involves hands-on work with advanced materials and technologies, contributing to the innovation and improvement of our products.Your role:
Assist in the design, assembly, and testing of cryogenic systems and superconducting magnets.
Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues related to cryogenic and superconducting systems.
Collaborate with engineers and scientists to develop and implement design solutions.
Conduct experiments and tests to evaluate the performance and reliability of prototypes.
Document test results and provide detailed reports on findings and recommendations.
Maintain and calibrate lab equipment to ensure accurate and reliable measurements.

Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or a related field.
Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a prototype lab environment.
Knowledge of safety protocols and standards in a lab environment.
Proficiency in LabVIEW, CAD software and other engineering tools.

Philips Transparency DetailsThe pay range for this position in (Latham, NY) is $22hr to $38hrThe actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity. In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered.
