DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensures the safety and security of the tenants, customers and facility of the Center.
Patrols all of the common areas throughout the Center with special emphasis to the parking areas.
Prepares for the opening and closing of the Center by locking and unlocking doors and areas for customer use.
Uses tour management system to complete patrols of the property.
Patrols and monitors the flow of vehicular and pedestrian traffic in the Center and takes appropriate action to alleviate any congestion.
Maintains crowd control as needed.
Is able to use two-way radio in a professional manner for communications.
Responds to calls for assistance.
Reports and investigates violations of laws and ordinances and Center rules and regulations.
Assists customers and tenants.
Patrols every extent of the area of assignment, checking for best conditions that create hazards that become liabilities.
Keeps unauthorized persons out of the Center after hours.
Submits reports on incidents investigated.
Pursues training to become proficient in the operation and use of the Fire Alarm System (Simplex).
Attends training and becomes certified in basic first aid and CPR.
Available and to be flexible for work on any of three shifts as back up for other officers.
Has concentration and alertness to detail in areas involving customer and tenant safety.
May be subjected to stressful situations, extensive walking, some sitting and running to respond to fire alarms and save lives.
Become familiar with the operation of the Building Management System.
Other duties as assigned.
