To maintain keep displays, coolers and shelves fully stocked and buying and stocking components of the Collegetown Store product line. We seek out, welcome and celebrate people with diverse identities to participate in our community-owned cooperative business structure.Status: Level III, Supervised by Collegetown Store ManagerResponsibilities:BUYER/STOCKER Place orders with suppliers/GreenStar warehouse as directed by Collegetown Manager and Collegetown Assistant Manager.Receive orders in accordance with established procedures.Coordinate returns and credits from suppliers in a timely manner.Assist in communicating with Point of Sale (POS) Department on updated prices following guidelines set by Collegetown Store Manager and Asst. Manager.Assist with reviewing invoices for accuracy and scan to Finance Department for payment.Assist with reviewing invoices for COLLEGETOWN ONLY products and keep prices up-to-date through POS.Meet with product reps & vendors regularly to bring in new product to keep up with trends and needs of the Collegetown demographic. Complete LBMX Core Sets, monthly forecasts and holiday pre-orders. Maintain and log all transfers in and out of Collegetown to the other stores. Run movement reports in collaboration with the Store Manager and Assistant Manager to cull bottom 10% in each category. Stock products following guidelines set by the Collegetown Store Manager and Ass. Manager.Ensure that new products are promptly and correctly put in pricing database and cut into designated set on the retail floor.Support proper communication regarding promos, sales & products between Collegetown Store Manager and the Collegetown team. Replenish and rotate displays, culling each item if expired or damaged.Label products with appropriate PLU and price.Ensure backstock area properly maintained, sorted through and organized.MERCHANDISINGCreate and maintain attractive displays throughout the store Ensure shelves are fully stocked and rotated to ensure freshness. Ensure accurate, up-to-date price labeling of store items.Dispose of damaged or spoiled goods appropriately (compost whenever possible).Coordinate with West End buyers for promotional offerings.CUSTOMER SERVICEAssist customers with product questions in a prompt, and courteous manner, referring them to other staff when necessary.Work as part of a team to develop a hospitable department space that feels welcoming to all.Distribute information and membership materials, and assist new members with joining.Help customers with placing and picking up special orders.Answer and route phone calls.Proficient in cashiering responsibilities.Knowledgeable about all Collegetown products. DEPARTMENT MAINTENANCESee that unsaleable items are properly disposed of. Keep accurate shrinkage records.Ensure that produce bins, aisles, shelves and storage areas are clean, orderly, and meet health standards.Remove trash promptly; sweep floor as needed.Participate in inventory counts.SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIESFollow GreenStar's safety rules.Assist other employees in safety needs. Report unsafe equipment and conditions immediately to your supervisor and/or Facilities Manager. Participate in safety training programs. Perform other tasks as assigned to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.STOREWIDE AND OTHER DUTIESAttend Human Resources trainings, all-staff meetings, department meetings, and OBM Huddles to stay informed.Read GreenStar publications to stay informed.Respect and comply with storewide personnel policies.Adhere to scheduled shifts.Perform other duties as assigned.Requirements:QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLSCommunication – effective interpersonal communication with team members and vendors in verbal and written formsStrong organizational and problem solving skills.
