The Highway Engineer is responsible for the design, construction, maintenance, and management of highways, roads, and other transportation infrastructure. Establish and maintain strong client relationships adhering to the Fisher Clientship philosophy.
Ability to effectively complete assignments related to highway design, drainage design, alignments, and other duties applicable to these projects.
Assist with field inspections and data collection for roadway projects.
Develop plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates.
Coordinate with reviewers and other disciplines to ensure accuracy and quality of work.
Proactively assist Project Managers and Designers.
Work collaboratively with other team members, consultants, and our clients.
Maintain accurate records of project details, including design documents, progress reports, and budget information.
RequirementsEducation & Experience
B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
0-5 years minimum of transportation experience, highway engineering experience preferred.
Intern Engineer certification (IE, formerly EIT) or ability to obtain it.
Experience with MicroStation, AutoCAD, OpenRoads Software preferred.
